Youth Bat Size Chart
What Is Drop Weight?
Drop weight (also called the drop or length-to-weight ratio) is the difference between a bat’s length in inches and its weight in ounces. A 30-inch bat that weighs 20 oz is a drop -10. A 32-inch bat that weighs 29 oz is a drop -3. Higher drops = lighter bats = easier swings. Lower drops = heavier bats = more potential power but harder to control.

Signs Your Player Has Outgrown Their Bat
- Consistently hitting off the end of the barrel on outside pitches
- Asking for a longer bat or crowding the plate to reach pitches
- Swing mechanics look controlled and powerful — bat speed is clearly not a limiting factor
- Coach or hitting instructor recommends sizing up
Don’t wait until the end of a season to size up — if the player is clearly ready, mid-season is fine.

One of the most trusted alloy bats in youth baseball. The CAT X2 delivers exceptional pop with a massive sweet spot and a solid feel that confident contact hitters love. Available in a wide range of sizes.
The Hype Fire has been one of the most talked-about USSSA bats in recent years. Two-piece composite construction delivers a big barrel, lively performance, and a light swing weight. The -8 is the sweet spot — more durable and easier to control than the -5, with more pop than the -10.
A premium two-piece composite BBCOR bat built for the high school and 14U level. The Icon provides excellent feedback, a large sweet spot, and the feel serious hitters want without the top-tier price of the Marucci or Louisville Slugger flagship models.
